Bita Bakhtjou - MBA, BSN, RN

Founder & CEO of iBita Inc.

Bita Bakhtjou, MBA, BSN, RN, is a healthcare communication innovator and founder of the iBita Platform. With more than a decade of experience across hospitals, community health programs, and patient‑support initiatives, she has dedicated her career to fixing the communication failures that harm patients and burden care teams. She earned her BSN from Shahid Beheshti University—graduating at the top of her class—and later completed her MBA at California State University, Fullerton, where she received multiple academic and leadership awards. Her background includes clinical practice, investigation, audit, inspection, human‑rights advocacy, and multilingual community engagement.

Bita holds a California RN license and advanced certificates in mobile application development, internal investigations, conflict resolution, leadership development, project management, and interpersonal communication. Her volunteer work with City of Hope, Be the Match, ISCC, and Coastline Community College reflects her commitment to service and equity. Driven by firsthand experience navigating fragmented systems, she created iBita as a unified, multilingual, HIPAA‑aware platform designed to strengthen transparency, early risk detection, and accountability across healthcare settings.

Our Founder's Journey

Since 2001, Registered Nurse Bita Bakhtjou has cared for patients across acute hospitals and rehabilitation centers, witnessing devoted clinicians blocked by voicemail mazes, paper forms, and siloed systems. Those gaps left patients, families, and staff searching for answers, and convinced her that healthcare needed a safer, more direct communication bridge.

Investigator, Advocate, Reformer

As a California Department of Public Health Health Facilities Evaluator Nurse, Bita inspected hospitals and long-term care facilities, reviewed medical records, and interviewed patients, families, and staff. She saw how unreported concerns, language barriers, and poor follow-through turned small issues into safety risks, regulatory exposure, and preventable loss of trust.

Lived Experience Into Action

Drawing on her own experiences as a patient and family caregiver, and her training in nursing, investigation, and technology, Bita created iBita as a multilingual, anonymous-capable platform. Every concern becomes structured, time-stamped, and trackable, supporting safer care, clearer accountability, and stronger trust between patients, staff, and leadership.

The Purpose That Built the Platform

iBita exists to repair broken healthcare communication. Founded by nurse and investigator Bita Bakhtjou, we provide a HIPAA-aware, multilingual, AI-enabled platform that turns patient and staff concerns into accountable action, protects vulnerable voices, and supports providers in delivering safer, fairer, and more compliant care nationwide.
